Searching for help. Searching for hope.

Chuck used the last of his savings and moved from the other side of the country for a new job, but when he got there, he was told that it had been given to someone else instead, and they had no other open positions.

Without a job, he couldn’t afford a place to live. Instead of working his dream job, Chuck was living in his car. Alone. Hopeless and hungry.

He could barely scavenge anything to eat. A Thanksgiving meal would be an impossible dream.

“I was scared to death because I had nothing,” Chuck remembers.

But then a caring person told him about Cityteam, and because of friends like you, he was able to have a hot, nutritious meal in our dining room. A good meal, like he hadn’t had in a long time.

A meal like the Thanksgiving meals you can provide today.

“The greatest thing that I could have ever done was coming here,” Chuck says. “It was a miracle.”

Because of the meal, safe shelter and other care Chuck found at Cityteam, his life has changed like he never thought possible.

“I’ve learned how to give back and think about others before myself,” he says.

Chuck felt alone and hopeless until friends like you provided the meals he desperately needed. Your gift of Thanksgiving meals can be the moment When Help Meets Hope for someone like Chuck!
